Beth Dary

Biography:

Beth Dary is a visual artist exploring the natural word in a precarious moment of balance and imbalance through her public art installations, encaustic works and sculptures. Most recently Dary was commissioned by the Battery Park City Authority to create an installation in Battery Park City’s Lily Pool in Lower Manhattan. In support of this project Dary was awarded grants from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, The Manhattan Community Arts Fund and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Dary has participated in several artist residency programs including UrbanGlass’s “Urban Invites”, the Johnson Atelier, Grounds for Sculpture, and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Gulf Coast Residency. Her work has been curated into exhibits at the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Bronx River Arts Center and the R & F Encaustic Works International Biennial and is in several private and corporate collections including the Whitney National Bank and the New Orleans Museum of Art. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University and a Masters of Fine Arts from Memphis College of Art. Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Dary currently lives and works in New York City.
